Biography

Jerrick Gerald is a PhD student in the Computer Science and Engineering department at the University of Notre Dame. He received his B.E. in Computer Science from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, and his M.S. in Data Science from George Washington University. His research lies at the intersection of machine learning and health data science, with a current focus on addressing missing information in healthcare datasets and how data gaps shape downstream conclusions, and another centered on a population-based study of multi-morbidity in Colombia, examining how multiple chronic conditions co-occur across large populations. His broader research interests include large language models and machine learning for healthcare. In his free time, he enjoys journaling and playing board games.
