Biography
Jiahao Zheng is a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department at the University of Notre Dame. He completed his B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he focused on edge AI. His research spans two complementary directions: AI agents for healthcare, where he builds conversational and behavioral monitoring agents for vulnerable clinical populations, and compute-in-memory hardware, where he investigates analog accelerator architectures for efficient LLM inference. By combining system-level hardware simulation with applied machine learning, he works toward AI solutions that are both clinically meaningful and deployable under real-world resource constraints.
