Biography

Spencer Giddens is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the AI Trust and Reliability (AITAR) Lab at the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society. His work focuses on developing privacy-preserving generative models for synthesizing biometric data. His research interests include privacy-enhancing technologies, especially differential privacy, statistical and machine learning methods, and AI fairness.

Prior to joining the Lucy Family Institute, he earned a Ph.D. in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Notre Dame, and both a B.S. and M.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Brigham Young University.
